제목: Near-Infrared Spectrograph: Development, Operation, and Use 초록: Near-Infrared spectrograph is a powerful tool to probe the formation and evolution of stars and planets. KASI developed Immersion Grating Infrared Spectrometer (IGRINS) in collaboration with University of Texas at Austin that can cover large wavelengths (1.5-2.5 µm) with a high spectral resolving power (R ~45,000). Since its commissioning in 2014, the instrument has been successfully operated on multiple sites; 2.7 m Harlan J. Smith Telescope at McDonald Observatory, 4.3 m Lowell Discovery Telescope, and 8.1 m Gemini South telescope. I present my participation in the development and operation of IGRINS, and also introduce other spectrograph projects currently being conducted at KASI, including IGRINS-2. I would also like to introduce research on outflows involved in the star formation such as Orion KL, through a 3-dimensional data cube obtained by the powerful performance of IGRINS. |
