제목: Introduction to 7DT/7DS : A Gateway to Multi-Messenger Astronomy
초록: As the main observational facility of Center for the Gravitational-Wave Universe, 7-Dimensional Telescope (7DT) is a multi-telescope system designed to identify electro-magnetic (E&M) counterparts of gravitational-wave (GW) sources. Consisting of 20 50-cm telescopes equipped with 40 medium-band filters of 25 nm, 7DT will obtain low resolution (R~25) spectra of astronomical objects within a large field of view (~7 square degrees) only with two exposures. Utilizing this multi-object spectroscopic capability for a wide field of view, 7DT will not only carry out follow-up observations for E&M counterparts of GW sources, but also conduct 7-Dimensional Survey (7DS) which will map thousands square degrees of the sky with a regular cadence. Software for full remote operation and real-time analysis are also being developed along with high-performance computing facility. This talk presents the current status of 7DT/7DS, and the updated timeline.
