제목: Ionospheric irregularities observed by GOLD and LEO spacecraft   

초록: 

  The Global-scale Observations of the Limb and Disk (GOLD) is an imaging instrument launched onboard a geosynchronous satellite in January 2018. From the vantage point at a longitude of 47.5 degrees West, it can take 2-dimensional images of the Earth's disk in multiple wavelength ranges. Especially, the nightglow images at 135.6 nm are useful in tracking temporal evolution of ionospheric irregularities, such as Equatorial Plasma Bubbles (EPBs), low-latitude blobs, and rocket exhaust depletion (RED). In this presentation, we show representative examples of nighttime ionospheric irregularities observed by GOLD, which are discussed in the context of ground-based Total Electron Content (TEC) measurements and observations from multiple Low-Earth-Orbit spacecraft, e.g., Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON), Swarm, and Constellation Observing System for Meteorology, Ionosphere, and Climate II (COSMIC-2).
