제목 : Earth rotation - its subtle variation (지구자전의 미묘한 변화) 

초록 : 

Earth rotation, though it may seem constant, undergoes minute amounts of variation in reality. It has been found that the rate of Earth rotation slightly varies with different periods. Also the orientation of the Earth’s rotation axis changes in time rather complicated way. In this presentation most of these subtle variations are explained for the features and causes. (Other interesting phenomena associated with rotations of planets and satellites of our Solar system may be covered as well.)

지구의 자전은 얼핏 일정한 것으로 보이지만, 실제로는 작은 변화가 계속 일어나고 있다. 지구자전의 속도가 변하는데 이에 몇가지 주기성을 가지고 있다. 또한 지구자전축도 상당히 복잡한 변화가 일어나고 있다. 본 발표에서는 이러한 변화들의 양상과 원인을 설명하고자 한다. (시간허용 시 태양계의 행성과 위성들의 공/자전에 관하여도 얼마간 다룸)
